Director of Product Design for Dropbox's Design Team

Dropbox is on the lookout for a Director of Product Design to spearhead the creation of next-generation product experiences and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product design, design systems, and design technology, with at least 12 years of relevant experience. They will lead a team focused on developing reusable experience infrastructure, including interaction patterns, product frameworks, and implementation standards. This role requires a proactive approach to design, moving from a reactive model to one that shapes core product experiences from the outset.

Key responsibilities include defining and driving the vision for Dropbox's design system, leading Design Systems and Design Technology as a center of excellence, and evolving reusable product patterns that enhance core experiences such as navigation, collaboration, and AI-assisted functionalities. The Director will also partner closely with various teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to ensure alignment on high-impact opportunities and to elevate the quality of product interactions.
